Re: SimCity BuildIt: Reports and Feedback.
Hi. I do like the recent change to contest of mayors, it has got my club members more involved ... but I think there is a fatal flaw in the mayor’s pass. Sufficiently such that I won’t be getting the premium pass. Basically it is impossible to get the bigger prizes without cheating.
This isn’t sour grapes, it is simple mathematics. I have reached level 25 in the first 2 weeks (I average just over 100k per week). Level 25 is 21,000 plumbobs. If that target doesn’t change, level 60 requires 735,000 more points (7 weeks), level 70 = 945k (9 weeks) and level 85 = 1.26 million (12 weeks) ... there are 10 weeks left. Only the very best players can hope to reach the top (very best being fully developed cities with maxed factories, lots of maxis manors, big storage etc.). I could probably do it with luck and effort but ...
... those totals assume the levels stay at 21k each. They have been rising at around 1k per level. If the mayor pass tiers continue to rise at about 1k each (22k for level 26, 23k for level 27 etc.) then level 70 is 2 million plumbobs away (2.2 million total = 200,000 per week). Not even the very best players can score this much without cheating and level 85 is just a pipe dream. Most players would spend a whole week just going up 1 or 2 levels.
What assurances can you give that these top level prizes are actually achievable? The mathematics to date just doesn’t add up. I won’t be buying the Premium Pass because I can’t win too much and I suspect lots who bought the pass this time round won’t do next when they realise how little they get for it.
cheers, Dunsnoozin.
