Re: Thoughts on inventory management
Good thing I read your post, I didn't even know that I was hoarding all these items and have made these following observations:
1. My current storage is 320(lol knew that one)
2. 93 of my slots are occupied by london/paris/tokyo items. Whenever I see any of these I buy them. Airport missions require many random items and I don't produce a lot of different ones. So a lot of times I don't attempt them.
3. 27 storage increasing items, didn't know I had so many of them. Been a while since I upgraded it.
4. 35 Vu's items
5. 49 expasion items in all(beach, mountain, land combined)
6. Rest all commercial and factory items.
Always increase your inventory whenever your level increases, like level 30 should have 300 storage and so on. Right now due to the COM, management has been omitted out of the equation as I have been buying and selling items in order to fulfill missions and clearing out storage. I always keep enough for like 3 disasters, some hard to make items at hand, 10 of each london/paris/tokyo items. I start increasing storage only when I wish to do it, otherwise I do not hoard them, I will get them in droves later. I keep 100 slots free for expansion items and then all factory and commercial items. Still storage gets filled up rapidly.
The first and foremost thing which EA should do is make it easy to sort it all out, it's irritating to go trudging through your inventory to find how many donuts or ladders you got. This can be done away by clicking from the commercial buildings but many a times I cannot find them in my layout( they do look the same). Going to the commercial buildings window will solve this problem, but still tiresome. EA should make 5 seperate sections of the inventory like:
1. Factory made raw materials(metal, wood, animal feed etc.)
2. Commercial building items(cement, bricks, smoothies etc.)
3. Expansion items section(storage, beach, land, mountain)
4. London/Paris/Tokyo items
5. Vu's items
