Renovations - Who's dumb idea was that???

Honestly, this game is getting beyond a joke, full of stuff that nobody wants! 

Now then, here's an idea that MIGHT have made renovations more palatable - they could/should count towards upgrades for the daily residential tasks, much the same way as upgrades for design challenges should count towards both that AND residential milestones but no, the devs just HAVE to keep pushing us to the brink.

What is it with those people!
