Seriously EA, How do i add friends to my city?

Same thing...they didn't give a correct answer on this issue

We tried everything, re-added in circles in google+, rejoined google play, cleared cache. When I joined the game, my friend already had an account and somehow he had me in friends, but later he rejoined google and I disappeared too. So we don't any connections now, at least one of us.

I have  last idea (not sure if this will work) how we can appear in the list of friends - visit our cities through Global Trade, but we wasted a lot of time just seeking in HQ without any results (it is hard because we are not low leveled)

I emailed them to ask about this very thing, but i havent recieved a response and this was about a month ago. Not impressed at all about it.

Someone deleted my post, I received this message from EA zendesk:

Some of our mayors have been experiencing issues seeing their Google Play friends. This is something that the team has fixed with the latest version of the game.

Please now follow these next steps to make sure your game is up to date and your Google Play permissions are correct too.

Firstly, if you haven't done so yet, please make sure you have the latest version of the game installed. Check the Google Play Store for updates

Secondly, please make sure your Google permissions are set correctly by following these instructions **on a web browser from your computer** rather than the browser on your device:
1. Go to google plus
2. Sign in with the Google Account you used to connect in the game.
3. Click "Home", then from the menu on the left select "Settings".
4. Scroll down until you see the header "Manage other apps & activity".
(Note: If you can't see this option anywhere you'll need to open some extra options. Scroll back up and click on the line "Can't find a certain setting? Try switching to classic G+" instead.)
5. Under "Manage other apps & activity," click "Manage apps & +1's on posts".
6. Scroll down to find "SimCity Mobile" and click 'edit'.
7. In the window "Who can see that you've signed in to SimCity Mobile", select 'Public', then click 'Save'. (This setting allows people to see you and your city.)
8. The pop-up will close and take you back to the original screen.
9. Now hover your mouse over the "SimCity Mobile" name. A previously hidden pencil icon will appear on the far right of the screen. Click it and select 'Advanced Connection Settings'.
10. In the window "People SimCity Mobile can see" make sure all the circles of people you want to see in the game are selected, then click "OK" to save. (This setting allows you to see other people and their cities.)

There have been changes to the way Google manages the data which is sent to our game, leaving some of our mayors unable to see their Google Play friends. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do at this point, however the team is looking into ways to improve this for you in the future, and if there is a fix it will come in future updates.

In the meantime, we strongly suggest using Facebook in order to trade with friends and saving your game progress.

P.S. Did you find at step 6 function to edit permissions? I didn't

I don't want to use social networks

Same here, in step 6 there is no edit option, also the rest of the steps are not posible, it seems to be a google thing, EA should get in touch with google, i don't think they will hear us...

Looks like we should register accounts in FB before they will fix it

Finally, i fall, i made a FB account... it was completely automatic, to easy with FB, impossible with google...

If EA can't manage to keep up with Google's Play services they should really remove the option to connect friends via Google Accounts. This is bonkers.

Google+ shut down so what do I do now to add friends?

Let’s see, if you don’t want to utilize Facebook perhaps the solution would be to form a Mayor’s Club and invite your friends to join? Good luck.
