Shield buster - the most stupid improvement in the game

Shield buster is the worst improvement in the game ever!!! No more chance to win if you are not a hacker or if you don't play 24 hours. Umbrella buster is useless now. I activate umbrella buster and opponent hit me with shield buster and continue with other attacks until destroy my city... I thought umbrella gives protection for some period of time... No more any strategy in this game, and that is very sad... Why EA pretend that they are blind and can't see it... I know that EA have money income in their focus, but the most of the money comes from normal players, not from the cheaters... So, please do something... It's urgent... Maybe the easiest way is to destroy stupid shield buster....

  • Hacking has ruined the game.  It’s bad, VERY BAD, and goes on unchecked.  This needs to be dealt with in a serious manner EA.  I’m thinking New Years resolution: either you fix the problem your way or my paying account fixes the problem my way.  Driving paying CoM customers into the arms of hackers is added insult.  It’s as if someone senior on the dev team is pro-hacker.

Shield buster is just an “I win” button for hackers.  They have endless war items and throw it and magnetism around endlessly with their hacked level 15 attacks in their hacked low level cities with all 5 regions unlocked.  You broke your own game, EA.  FIX IT.

You are absolutely right that winning and losing is only a by-product of a competition. Club wars should be fun instead of being painful like it was in the past.

The focus on winning only destroys the harmony in a team. I had been through that. Too much drama, finger-pointing and negativity. Our President even avoided club chat due to the unnecessary drama. When we shifted our focus to just having fun, things got so much better. Until the rampant use of “hiding to win strategy” ruined our fun.

  • @J6niceL  You’re right, people have a tendency to lose sight of “fun” in the name of winning. As a very young man I had the privilege of being the first pick in multiple sports in different age categories (I was a good size boy for my age) and learned very clearly that there was a good reason the team that made the first selection did...collectively they were “challenged”  Fortunately my Dad taught me early on that you had to face adversity head on and learn how to handle defeat before you could ever win...and yes I faced my fare share of adversity and thrived along the way, sharing through the challenges with great friends and honestly enjoying the opportunity to step on the field or court regardless of the end results. Coaches do a disservice by the old speech “Winning isn’t everything...but losing is nothing” - it actually should be “Winning isn’t everything - competing is”.  In every case things turned around and eventually we competed for championships - not because of me, but because we came together collectively for each other and gave it our best effort each and every time we stepped on the field.

I recognize that for many folks this is their day in the sun...and I wish each the best. No one wants to lose but please never let a shallow win take away the fun...at the end of the day you don’t remember the wins and losses (except in specific situations) but rather the fellowship and joy experienced through competing together. I know folks think I’m crazy (which I am) but I actually experienced that with my former club in the early days of the war games. Take care my friend.

@PinnacleValley You nailed it. It’s the fellowship and companionship that bond us, not the wins. Getting too high on wins make losses all the more devastating. And is it worth it to get all upset over losses in club wars? I don’t think so.
