Any change which makes the game harder for new players to catch up is a very poor business decision. In addition changes which present no benefit to the players, is negative to long term viability, and adds no new revenue to the developer is also poor. In all my years and many game titles, despite the simplicity of this change, it actually stands out as one of the most foolish. For a major game developer to not understand their own business fundamentals is embarrassing.
I could not agree more my friend, I will not spend a penny with this arrogant company again until they make it right for their loyal subscribers.
i know people who just started playing this game and they have given up now that they realize how high the mountain is to climb, just to grow your city.
its almost like the game has been assigned a new project manager tasked to squeeze more cash out of the players and because he/she is hidden behind the veil of customer service, feels empowered (not unlike a real bureaucracy aka government) to do as they wish, the only recourse we have is to withdraw our support and make others aware of their sleazy maneuvering.
