Sim City BuildIt

Hi there! I want to ask why you can't download SimCity BuildIt on newer phones. Before 2 years I had old Samsung and I could install the game but now I have Samsung A10 and it says it's not compatible with my phone.

  • Thanks, @Taserdom13 - I meant the system update version. It's found under your phone's Settings > System Updates. It's usually a bunch of letters & numbers, like G930VVRSBCTC1 https://support.google.com/android/answer/7680439?hl=en

If the Android system update is the newest version, and your Google Play app is updated to the newest version, then clearing the data & cache usually fixes this issue.

I have seen some reports that changing the resolution on your display can sometimes help. Go to Settings > Display > Screen Resolution > Choose WQHD (2560 x 1440) and try again. Also, if you changed the data storage to an external source, try setting it back to internal.

If this doesn't help, you should file a support request with the SCBO team here: https://simcity-buildit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

They should be able to help you further

  • Hi @Taserdom13 - I've not heard of a problem with SCBI on newer phones. Usually, the "Your Device is not Compatible with this Version" message is referring to your Android version, or there could be an issue with Google Play data.

First, be sure that your system is updated to the newest version by going to Settings > System Updates > Check for System Updates

Once the system is up-to-date, try clearing the Google Play store cache & data, then try the download & install again.

Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear Data & then Clear Cache. This should remove any incomplete or corrupted data.

Make sure you have a steady connection (either wifi or cellular data is fine, but you don't want the connection to drop off while you're downloading). Then try downloading and installing the game again.

    Hope this helps! Happy Building!

Hi @Taserdom13 - I merged your post into the first thread you started.

Did you try the solutions I listed in my reply to your first post? What happened?

@Taserdom13 - What is the Android version of your game? (Settings > System Updates) From what country did you buy the phone?
