This worked for me as well.
- Uninstall game
- Reset phone
- Reinstall game
- Complete ‘startup’ tasks in game
- Log into Game Center and choose saved city
- Up and running again
Total pain, but it does work!
- 3 years ago@i9mtt Unfortunately, I don’t have any other suggestions. To be clear, by reset phone, you have to reset all your phone settings to defaults, not just restart the phone. When I did this and reinstalled the app, I was good to go.

OK well I’m not gonna do a full reset on my phone and possibly lose absolutely everything and plus my contacts I did a soft reset (twice!) which should have solved the problem but the fact of the matter is EA has to do a friggin update for the software 16.0 compatibility for Apple phones! This is complete stupidity at this point! Almost 2 1/2 weeks I still have money in my game, it’s freaking *.

I think I'll continue to wait. I have no intention to do a full reset on my phone. EA has at least emailed me to let me know they're working on it. I love the game and have become quite invested in it. But, I'm not interested in redoing everything on my phone to fix an issue that only some iphone users with the iOS 16 has.
- 3 years ago@andigirl09 Understandable. If you have everything backed up to iCloud, you shouldn’t lose anything though. It was annoying to reset, but the only painful bit was logging back into certain things and getting my settings back to what I had them. Not that bad. Good luck!
