FYI -- This is actually happening to everyone. Check how much money you have and start looking for an item. If you find a sale on the item and click the sale, it takes you to a player's Trade Depot. If the item still shows up there, and you click it, but it was sold before you clicked it, the money will be deducted from your Simoleon account, and not returned when the message shows up.
