Simcity won’t work on Fire 11 max (Fire OS 8.3.2.1)

Has anybody gotten Simcity to work and load a saved city on the newest Kindle fires (11 max and 10) that run fire OS 8.3.2.1? In addition to that, when I play through the tutorial there are no icons,...

    Hi

    I recall having a similar problem using the Fire 8+ (2020 version I think).

    I, too tried all I could think of, and as a last, desperate clutching at straws option, remembered I'd set my 1 TB SD card to be used to run games etc, and not so it could be ejected and swapped into another Fire tablet.

    I did a hard reset of my Fire Tablet 8+, but this time set up the 1TB SD card as additional memory which could be swapped between Amazon Fire tablets.

    I reinstalled SimCity build it and played through the tutorial to the point I could reload my previous saved city. The city restored as it was supposed to, and the black and white boxes were replaced with the correct icons......

    I can't promise this will work for you as it did me, but when you get to a certain level of frustration, you'll try anything!!!

This worked! Thank you!!! Factory reset, formatted SD card to portable and was finally able to play through the tutorial WITH icons and load my city!
