Simonomics an open letter to Sims

Dear Fellow Sims and Sim designers,

I would like to think that college educated game designers would have taken economics 101, but apparently this team missed that semester.  I would like to try and edumacate them real quick.  Remember this is just a basic overview of Simonomics.

I.  SUPPLY AND DEMAND

1.  The game already creates demand for items to expand city, beach, city storage, building items for keys and Tokyo buildings.

2.  The supply for these items is gained through thought bubbles on residential buildings, and building items at factories and shops.

3.  The price of an item will naturally occur at the point where supply meets demand.  You don't need to set limits.

4.  Gold is limited by population, happiness, and time.

5.  See graph.

By letting the market set the price Sims will be able to make actual decisions on what price to sell and what price to buy base on their individual needs, and how much gold they can aford to spend.  The price limits in place are completely arbitrary, and do not reflect what the accurate market prices would be.

Because the supply of expansion items for the city, beaches and city storage are limited (dozer parts, cameras, locks, bars ect can't be produced at factories or shops) and in high demand, the price of these would be much higher then items that could be produced at shops.   If the costs of expansion items was 10-15k per item or whatever the marketplace ends up deciding then I believe the trade hq would work better because their would be more supply of these items due to the fact they are much more expensive.

If you set this market up irl in the US, you would be hauled into court and found guilty of illegal price fixing!

Please end the price fixing racket immediately or a simsuit will certainly be coming.

Regards & Eagerly Awaiting Changes,

Concerned Citizen and Simeconomist.

Ps a search tool would also be nice, but I've already been told it would "lag servers" yet somehow other games find a way.  But if you remove price limits I think that would help with supply.
