So I downloaded the new Simcity Buildit on my iPad Air 2 the other day, love the game so far. My question is when I insstall the game on my iPhone 5S it does not give me a way to sync and log into Facebook to sync a new game, it makes me go through the whole initial game set up tutorial, etc, I am currently saving my game on the iPad through Facebook, so how do I install the app on my iPhone and avoid the tutorial so I can sync my progress? Or do I have to go through the tutorial and start a new game and wait for the option to log into Facebook? (I am afraid to go that far and select that option and then it save my new game and I loose the progress I have on my iPad)

Yes. As soon as I finished the tutorial, I logged into Game Center and it downloaded the town from my other device, so I had the same (bigger) city on both devices.

Same problem. iPad Mini Retina shows game center and Facebook login in settings, but iPhone 5s does not show login buttons.

I am having the same problem I am really far on my iPhone but can't get my progress on my iPad.

I gave this a try to see if it's broken for everyone.
Like others, when I launched the app on my phone -- I've been playing only on my iPad so far -- I didn't see the login buttons on the settings menu that I usually see. I played along with the tutorial for a few minutes, and as soon as I got to through the tutorial (once I'm told to build more houses, so when you build the third house), the login links appeared. It only took a couple of minutes to get to that step.
I'd prefer to be asked whether I want to sync or start a new game when I first launch the app, but I hope it's helpful to other players to know they *can* sync between devices if they play through the tutorial on each device.
One little glitch to mention: If you hop between devices quickly, it may complain. I had the game open on my iPad when I finally got logged in on my iPhone. I closed the iPhone as soon as I saw that it did sync correctly, and kept playing on the iPad. A couple minutes later, I got a message on my iPad that told me I'd been active on another device and couldn't play on both at the same time. It made me close the app and reopen it to keep playing.

klohrenz, can you please answer the most important question: once you finish the tutorial on the second device and log in, is there any trouble getting the old game onto the new device and not delete your old data?

What do you do if your gamecenter saved game is not the one you want? My iPad game is level 14 and somehow not connected to Game Center. My iPhone game that is just through the tutorial is the one that got linked. Now I feel like I'm screwed and can never link the iPad game to my phone without losing my level 14 game

If you don't want the one on your iPhone, what happens when you try to delete the app from the iPhone? Most apps will ask you if you want to keep the game in Game Center. Say no. Then once it's deleted, try to open it on the iPad and see if it gives you the option to link it to Game Center @captn9 .

I've tried that Indys2. When I click on link from the iPad it still asks me if I want to load the gamecenter game and lose the current one. I don't have the guts to try it for fear of losing my iPad game which is really advanced already.
