What’s the highest level trains can reach?

My club mate has one to level 9 so far.
That’s at least 100 cards needed!
I have 2 cities on 2 iPads. I’ve managed to get 5 trains on my lower lvl city (80) and still need another 14 cards to get my 5th train in my lvl 99 city. It does take a lot of cards to get/any trains and am hoping that EA introduce more stations. Not holding my breath on that also need railway bridges to go over water and or roads.
I'm so hanging out for train bridges. I'm sure they're coming at some point. In the meantime, trains are just yet another way we can compete with ourselves and feel some gratification when we 'level up'.
Personally, I enjoy taking a little trip round my cities while I wait for something happening by tapping on a train.
