You sound like one who is not afraid to break out the credit card. Some of us either can't or won't do that to play a game. Please tell how you accelerate the game when you 5 highest point assignments are 51 E Parts, 55 Glass, 56, Feed, another 51 E Parts without your credit card. To top it off none of those gave more than 1250 Pts anyway while the leader in the clubhouse is already over 50,000 after 24 hrs. That is what I was faced with this contest. And at lvl 45 I only have 10 factories.
I also dispute that the time doesn't matter those of us living I the EST and who work for a living find it difficult to stay up to 2 am to start a contest while those living in PST could easily complete a project and start a long time assignment wake up in the morning and be ahead. Yet there is no way for the EST player to get back those lost 5-7 hours of nothing.
As for your ability to overtake early leaders that probably has as much to do with your luck in getting generous point pools as anything else you are doing. I find it funny how those who have been getting the upper hand in the assignments look down on those of us who keep drawing the short straw. I bet first time you get screwed you be just like the guy bragging how he won 3 weeks in a row and crying this week how unfair the contest is because even doing every high point assignment he can't crack the top 30.
This is not the contest they promised there is no strategy, everyone is doing the highest point assignments the only thing that separating the winners from the losers is luck. Luck in getting the best assignments with the best points in the best order nothing more.
if they shortened the contest and kept the number of assignments the same people would be forced to decide if they want to take a quick smaller prize or grind out a more lucrative but time consuming one. As it is now everyone is able to complete all the assignments and since their programmers don't seem competent enough to get the points pools competitive it is just a game of chance.

Been there done that. I did not move up the first week. Moved up the 2nd week. Did not move up the 3rd week, moved up the 4th week. I'm poised to move up this week, but if I don't come close next week, oh well, there's always another week. They're coming around every week now, so win some loose some. I only care about the gold keys that can be earned from it right now. If I can't earn any at all, I'll bail on the contest and work on Epics. I've said it before and will say it again..... Stress not about that which you cannot control.
