What happened to the daily gift?

This seems to be an ongoing pattern in recent months. A reduction in rewards for contest of mayors. A reduction in the amount of pink plumbobs awarded for making purchases. A major increase in 'limited time shops' pushing buildings to increase their sales, which used to involve being able to use gold/platinum keys but now mainly asking for cash or simcash to buy these items, in an effort to get players to spend more money. And now the daily gift has gone. What is decreasing massively are incentives to keep playing this game.

This is typical. The daily reward simply vanishes...however, under the 'NEWS' tab, the link encouraging you to visit daily for your reward is still there. Following it, alas, doesn't resurrect the daily gift.

Not only is this typical of the stingy nature of the powers-that-be, but as per usual, they remove this 'reward' without having the decency to announce the fact to their players. They are interested in profit margins only, and don't care one iota for the players who have put up with their various attempts to squeeze more and more money out of them for ever dwindling returns.

They are simply contemptuous of us. I'm ranked at level 96, and have played the game for many years. I've seen them pull stunts like this time after time. The leopard cannot change its spots, and to all new players, I have to say: don't be surprised at them taking advantage of you and your loyalty toward the game. They will continue ripping us all off with these underhanded tricks. Nothing they do  to take greater advantage of us surprised me anymore.

Exactly the same. I've checked all sectionsin the store. The ads promising the daily giftare still there, but no gift anywhere...

That together with changing number of plumbobs received from in most selling offers, more and more plumbobs required to complete events, and more difficult tasksto complete contest season, makes me feel this game is exhausting my life. It's only planned to buy and buy, because getting new buildings with work becomes impossible. I don't think they're improving their incomes from the game. I've been years here, but I'm about to leave it. It doesn't relax me or make me feel better. It's literally sucking my energy and making me feel angry. I suppose I am not the only one...

It's disappeared before. The 1st iteration was daily land building items (dozer, etc) then they removed it and the next one has been the daily 15 simcash. Could be they are redoing it again? Not to say that the money grab stuff isn't true - definitely is.

I feel the same way   I’ve been playing this game from the start. This last 6 months has been the worst. It’s just a cash grab. With this last update, the game is no longer enjoyable. I have stopped doing CoM and I’m working on Omega buildings in my city. War isn’t enjoyable either like it was several years ago. Rewards keep decreasing and it has reached the point of being pointless.  There is no reason to play CoM anymore when rewards are basically nonexistent.
