When might we be able to zoom out to view our entire city at once?

Why can we only see a fraction of our city at a time? Why can't I zoom out to see the whole thing?

Why can't I take a screenshot of the whole thing? And without notification bubbles? Shouldn't there be a built-in function for this? Why doesn't it exist, and default that image to my player profile too?
