Why/when can Sims Mayor VP's delete new & rude members?

In Sims Buildit: I've noticed a few times within the past 6 months that I can't delete SOME inappropriate lower ranked members of our team.  I've been a VP for quite a while.  If someone has the link to this info, please provide.  Someone on our team stated no one can be deleted during war participation.  Is that true?  I hope not.  Being abusive in a game means you need to get deleted immediately,  Will inquire with tech support, but appreciate input from gaming community.

  • Sounds like an unpleasant experience.  Another tool is to "mute" members in chat, if they are being rude or otherwise disrupting the club.  But each individual has to make their own choice to mute the member.

This might at least buy some peace while the clock ticks down until you can boot them.

    I’m sorry to hear this.

It is true that no one can add or remove members and members can’t leave voluntarily during wars (unless it has changed recently). Unfortunately, I was involved in handling a difficult situation awhile back. I contacted EA Support to try to allow a club member to leave during a war, and Support replied that they were not able to help this member leave until war was over. Don’t want to go into detail here, but suffice it to say that it was a long 48 hours until wars end.

I would encourage anyone to discuss this issue with Support. In my situation, it was a struggle to maintain team dynamics while this was going on.

I understand that adding members during a war would allow clubs to swing wars toward their favor, but I think that members should be able to leave or be removed in unfortunate situations during a war.

    Best of luck to you!

Yes, what you described IS still currently true.  I also submitted the details of the incident to tech support, along with screenshots.  They immediately replied with the same explanation as yours.  However, they also stated that due to the documented verbal assault, they would pass the safety issue up to the developers.  So maybe in the future, we will have an better option about these issues.

    Thanks for your reply.

I’m sorry, your story sounds similar to mine. It must be frustrating.

I forgot that about the developer involvement.

Hopefully they will change this: If they don’t change the game to allow members to leave/be removed during wars, at least allow Support to make it happen.

I've wondered about that "block messages from this Mayor" button.  Haven't tested it, as wasn't sure if it would block from everyone.  Thanks for clarifying.

ive sent very specific suggestions to tech support about deleting members during war.  They CLAIM they have fwd everything to developers to be included in an update.  So maybe more people asking for that feature will speed things up.
