Administrator privileges? + Full screen setting not working.

After many YEARS, there has suddenly been an update patched to my version of SimCity.  Following the update, I have found TWO significant problems:

1. It now requires Administrator Privileges to launch the app.  WHY???  It's a game.  Why would it need admin?  Is there any way to disable this?

2. The "Full Screen" setting is broken.  The only way I can get it to go full screen is to go to the highest resolution setting possible, and then the dialog boxes are so small, they are unreadable.

This tells me that, prior to releasing this update, some significant testing was missed.  Any chance that EA will see this?  And will they bother to fix the stuff they broke?

    Did you update Win 11 to version 2H24? I literally have the same issue. Also this update is KNOWN for having issues like: 

    • Task Manager Issue: Task Manager might show a count of zero for Apps, Background Processes, and Windows Processes, even when there are active applications running.

    • Disk Cleanup Glitch: Disk Cleanup might incorrectly report the space available for cleanup.

    • ASUS Device Installation Failures: Some ASUS devices might fail to install the update.

    • Voicemeeter App Crashes: The Voicemeeter app might unexpectedly close, causing a Blue Screen Exception Error.

    • Camera Use Issues: Using the camera might cause some applications to become unresponsive.

    • Safe Exam Browser Problems: The Safe Exam Browser application might fail to open.

    • Easy Anti-Cheat Issues: Devices using Easy Anti-Cheat might stop responding and receive a Blue Screen.

    • Fingerprint Sensor Problems: Fingerprint sensors might experience issues after a device is locked.

    • Wallpaper Customization Issues: Wallpaper customization applications might not work as expected.

    • Compatibility Issues with Intel Smart Sound Technology Drivers: There might be compatibility issues with Intel Smart Sound Technology drivers.

    • Asphalt 8 Crashes: Asphalt 8 might periodically stop responding
