yes, you can. just wait long enough and EA will reset the server.. henceforth, your city will be gone forever 🙂

I'm sure you can do a lot of things in this game, assuming their servers were stable.
Can't you just take the bulldozer and go nuts with it?
If you've got any natural disasters unlocked, maybe those will help. Haven't tried it myself though. If you would happen to have all 3 bonds used, you are screwed. It will put the city in a non-recoverable state.
Only possible thing would be sending money from another town.

I have had the same problem, and idea. Why didn't EA/Maxis let us have a re-start like all of the other sims games. We learn from our mistakes and what the ability to start over and make our towns better. I also don't like that everything has to be online. A single player mode could still use the internet to check if you are using a valid copy/code and let you play in your own private region. It was dumb for them to think that we all want to cooperate. I will play Sim City 4 for awhile more and track threads until I see these issues resolved.
- It was officially announced by Maxis Developers that there would not be a function to delete individual cities. But, they said it might be a feature available in the future.
- Anonymous10 years agoHi has the feature been added yet. Does anyone one know? Thank you.
- @Cartina It's far from Non-recoverable.... It's all about how long you're willing to wait, if you happen to have no roads at all then it would be considered unrecoverable... Otherwise all you need is time and to just tax people destroying the abandoned houses until the bonds are paid or you start making a profit.
Players are still here. Where is EA? Please support/update SimCity. There is no reason to let it wither on the vine.
