I cant laung SimCity. I launch it from origin and a SimCity launcher appears with a fail report, but all the text is bugged and shows just as ***. From what a geathered is a no srever conection report and i have no idea how to fix it
Hi @KadabraRx7 - From your screenshot, it does look like something is blocking SimCity from completing the full installation.
Always run installation files "As Administrator"
Add SimCity.exe and Origin.exe to firewall and antivirus exception lists
Copy Update Files to SimCity folder:
Exit SimCity and Origin
Go to Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityUserData\Patches\UpdatedApp
Select all files (Ctrl-A) and copy (Ctrl-C).
Go to \Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity and paste (Ctrl-V). Choose to overwrite any files that already exist.
If you still have the problem, please reply back with a copy of your dxdiag.
To post your DxDiag:
1. Select the 'Choose file' button below the post box
2. Find the DxDiag file and select it - hit Open
3. Add text to your post and hit Submit
