Can't run SimCity 4 on Alder Lake CPU

I can't seem to run SimCity 4 on an Alder Lake (12th Gen) CPU, it just plays the intro, shows the splash and crashes.

    12th generation CPUs are not compatible with Sims 3, so I guess they're not compatible with older games either. The only solution players found there was to use a patcher. It seems to work with Sims Medieval, but I'm not sure if anyone has tried it with Simcity/Simcity 4.
