Rolling a very successful city back to blank city - happened three times now, different cities, different regions - is unacceptable.
A) It's not a 'rollback' it's a crash - drop the euphemisms guys - and
B) It represents a faulty product that would be recalled by just about any other industry.
I don't know where this problem stands on Maxis' to-do list - communication would help, wouldn't it? - but I know I'm now scared to go back to the game and waste any more time on it, and that's really, really BAD. I've been a hard-core fan of the franchise from day one (the Macintosh Classic version) and now I find myself badmouthing SimCity because of realy poor decision-making on their part.
Perhaps EA is impervious to this kind of damage, Maxis is not something they built, it's something they bought, so they might just get rid of it if its too much trouble for them, But I sure hope it won't be the case, that would be too sad.

I feel the same way, It's happening to me in my cityies that are big and old. I'm so very unhappy with this. At least with the old versions, if there was a bug, you could go back to the saved version on your own machine. It wasn't out in the cloud being corrupted. I'm not sure, I'll be playing this game again, unless I hear a loud, I'm sorry we have another problem, and this time it's fixed. Then I'll give it another try for the last time, and if it's not working, that the end of my wasting time playing simcity in the cloud.
