Constructive Feedback and Suggestions to Improve SimCity BuildIt

I believe Electronic Arts should reconsider some aspects of the game that simply don’t make sense. By revisiting these issues, we could have a much more consistent and well-balanced game that doesn’t drive players away.

Points that need to be reconsidered:

  • Materials and items required to upgrade houses and buildings

This is one of the issues that drives the most players away from SimCity BuildIt, simply because it makes absolutely no sense. For example, why do you need iron, wood, concrete, and COCONUTS to upgrade a building??? The problem isn’t limited to coconuts, but also includes several other items that have no place in construction, such as corn, biscuits, coconut oil, pizza, candy, sugar, condiments, and so on.

  • Adjusting the costs of certain buildings

The costs of some buildings should be adjusted, especially commercial buildings, which are ridiculously expensive. Many players choose not to build them and instead spend hours trying to obtain the required materials through the Trade Depot. This becomes exhausting, and many players eventually give up on the game.

If all commercial buildings had a fixed base cost of 5,000, with upgrades costing up to 10,000, the game would be much more enjoyable.

Other examples include the Vu Tower and the Airport, which cost 40,000 and 120,000, respectively. These prices make players question whether such investments are really worth it, especially when they can consume so much of their money and time.

  • The costs of materials, roads, pavements, and services

High prices and expensive upgrades make the game frustrating and discourage players from progressing.

  • Beach and mountain expansions

Beach and mountain expansions have lost much of their value and the incentive to unlock them.

  • City expansion

Expanding the city territory is still far too difficult, making it unnecessarily time-consuming for players to grow their cities.

I hope EA takes the time to read this feedback, recognize it as constructive criticism, and consider making changes to the game. I believe these improvements would make SimCity BuildIt more consistent, balanced, and enjoyable, encouraging players to keep playing rather than give up.
