Have EA forgotten about this game?

Are there any updates at all planned for this game or have EA abandoned it?

Haha looks like they have forgotten, mine keeps crashing so I can't play it now
  • @thfreud - SimCity is a legacy game and is no longer actively supported. The game released in 2013; sometime in 2015 they closed down the Maxis studio that was the SimCity development center. Maxis and The Sims development still exist, but the main studio and developers of SimCity were essentially dissolved. There hasn't been a new patch or update since then. So no, there are no updates planned.

People started having issues with the game crashing on a Mac when OS 10.13 was released. The beta Mac OS 10.14 update is being released this fall and so far is reported to work with SimCity! Hopefully, when Apple rolls out their newest update, you will be able to play the game without crashing again. PC users can still run the game, although there are a few incompatible programs (MSI's sound program Nahimic 2, BitDefender) and it's best to run the *.exe's "as Administrator".
