Installation media read errors

In 2005 I purchased SimCity 4 on PC-CD-ROM. I still have both discs and the serial number code in the original box. This weekend  I wanted to play SimCity 4 on my Windows 10 machine.  I've noticed that installing the game is no longer possible.  There's no physical damage or marks on the surface of Disk 2. Is there a way that I can still play this game? 

I have seen on different forums the old dvd DRM issues creates problems. Is there any way I can get a new digital copy for free ? According to the sub Reddit there are options available 😉

An Chat EA Agent told me the following,

''( 22m 49s ) Rajat: Jordi, I extremely apologize for the trouble you faced however, as I have checked with the team we as EA advisors do not have the utility to grant the discount code but do not worry at all I would request you to please report this on EA forum so that the officials have information about this issue and they can take appropriate actions. Moreover, I will also go ahead and mark a feedback on this as per your words.''

Can someone please help me with this

    Hey @147294e64674b813 ,

    I'm afraid there's not much we can do on the forums, we certainly have no tools to grant codes contrary to the Help centre ☹️

    EA Advisors do have the ability to grant codes if a procedure allows for it. Try again to contact EA Help, there should be a procedure for installation issues when it comes to older games and older codes.
