mouse cursor disappears

I recently started using EA Play which gives me free access to SimCity-Cities Of Tomorrow as well as expansion packs. I started playing this morning, about an hour or so in my cursor disappeared. things would still highlight and I could click on things as if my cursor was there, I just couldn't see it. I have a plain old USB connected mouse, nothing fancy. I tried right clicking, holding the left mouse button while right clicking, clicking both left and right together, etc. So far nothing has worked. It was a bit of a struggle but I was able to save and then get to the main menu. Once I got there I wasn't able to exit the game so I used Alt + Tab so I could then end the task through task manager. I looked at my mouse settings and everything looked normal and it even says the device is working properly. While searching for an answer I noticed that I'm not the only one whos had this issue, but I was not able to find an actual solution. Is there a mod I can download that works around the bug or is there something simple I can do in game to fix it/make the cursor reappear? I`d rather not have to  exit the entire game every time this happens. Plus I'm not even sure my cursor will be visible when I begin to play again. I really hope so at least!!! I guess ill update/edit this if the cursor is NOT there when i go to load the game again. Any and all help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for your time!!!
