SimCity 2013 on Steam

Hi there,

Unfortunately, SimCity 2013 is considered a legacy game for EA. In fact, they’ve shut down all the official websites dedicated to the game, and now they are only responsible for server hosting. 

I know how much people want this game on Steam. I would campaign for it, too. It’s just that this game is not a priority for EA to even maintain anymore, let alone bring to other storefronts. And the truth is, even if you do get it on Steam, you’ll have to deal with the hassle of installing the EA app anyway (because that’s what EA has been doing with their newer Steam releases) so there would really be no additional benefits to getting the game on Steam compared to getting the game through the EA app (other than allowing you to have all your games accessible from a single storefront).

EA has shown recent interest in legacy games with other Steam retro re-relases. Please put Simcity 2013 on Steam, remove the online part if necessary, nobody cares about it anyway.

I would rather EA just make a new SimCity game. Preferably one that is good and not the micro-transaction crud they typically put out lately.
