Region Not Sharing Resources / Status Checks between cities

On launch day (and the day after) some services would share and department plans would announce and unlock buildings, but these changes were delayed 2+ hours from real time. As of patch 1.2 I have yet to see any sharing interaction at all.

    I'm annoyed with this issue. I can finally get online and the lack of region play is ruining the experience. Because the cities are so small, you depend on your neighbors to help you with certain services and whatnot. It's kind of funny the whole structor they built this game around (online) doesn't even work. I know I can't return Simcity, but I'm close to removing it from my computer and moving on from this mess. I'm tired of trying to play a game I bought 5 days ago.
