So, I understand this is probably going to be considered necromancy, however, I think it would be a well received goodwill gesture but just take a look at Sim City (2013) and bite the bullet and fix the map sizes. As well, if not then let the community do it, open the game up for modders and let them carry the game forward. anywho, that's all I wanted to say. With the world going to crap as it is, its nice sometimes to be able to Sim one that doesn't suck. Thanks.
@FrumpyFurling - I would love to see a completely new SimCity game. I hope some day they resurrect the franchise.
There are a few true bugs and things that don't work the way they're supposed to and never will. For me, I wish they would have fixed the basic regional functions that were intended, so you really could build specialized cities that work together in a region. The game's map sizes are "as designed", so it's not really something that needs a fix. But I understand that some players don't like the sizes.
There are quite a few mods out there that you might find useful. I don't know much about them, but you could check out the simtropolis website to see if there's anything you're interested in using.
