Sim City 4 won't start on Win 7

Hey I have the same problem as others in that I can't get my Sim City 4 deluxe Edition to run on Windows 7 Home Premium. Any ideas, I have tried everything I can think of. Its the disk version.

Are you running it in XP Compatibility Mode?
