I had 10.7.4 OS. When i open my city it looks like grass is growing vertical out of the ground, and the roads hardly show up. I am downloading 10.8 which is costing me an additional 20$. Is this an OS issue, or is the game going to fix this bug/glitch.

Yes 10.8.4 should fix that issue for you if you have an HD3000 graphics intel chip. In regards to the issue where the screen is all mashed up, not for performance perse.

Thank you to @noidpr and @nismoz34498 for reporting this. If you lower the settings on the Mac version does it help any or does it feel disconnected from settings?
There's been alot of troubles reported with Mac performance ☹️
If you lower settings it is better, but looks horrible. I should have no problems running 1080p with all settings on high or ultra. No problems whatsoever on windows with these settings. Another problem I am having is you have to click everything multiple times for it to do anything. For some reason it isn't very responsive when clicking on things.
I have the lastest Mac OS Operating System and it still doesnt seem to increase performance. My Macbook Pro is more than capabale of playing sim city 2013 but yet the game is completly laggy and unplayable in almost all settings. When the game is on low settings it is playable but I didnt buy this game to play a semi playable game with graphic settings on the lowest possible. Extremely dissapointed with EA Games. Please fix the performance issue with this.
If the machine is actually good enough, run it with the more graphical OS, which at this time is Windows and Direct3D. The two don't compare in this game. You'll need Bootcamp and Window itself.
If all you have is a Mac, then what? or is the nonwindows the mac? Im sorry I'm not so computer smart.
