SimCity 4 CD Code Not Redeeming, EA Help said the game is not supported?

So I recently tried to install my disc version of SimCity 4 on Windows 10, and like many others, found out that it's not possible to install the game on Windows 10 due to an issue with SafeDisc.  I then tried to redeem the CD code on EA's website and on the EA app on my desktop, only to find out that it would not work unless I contacted EA to get them to redeem the code for me.  I emailed EA Help, however they said that they could not redeem the CD code and I would need to purchase the game again.  However, the email they sent me seemed a bit copy/paste, and I'm not 100% sure if they were able to understand what my problem was.  I was wondering if there was a Community Lead/Community Manager in this forum that would be able to help me out.  It would be greatly appreciated.
