SimCity 4 Error Load Offline

Hello

Bought SImCity4 two days ago out of the EA site, loaded the EA app and the Game, everything OK when online.


But I can't play it offline, it refuses to load and gives me the following error message:


The game license has expired
Launch your game online to renew the license.
Error code: EC:204

EA help chat sent me here, saying "I checked with my resources and got to know that this looks like a bug and I would suggest you to report this on our EA forum through the link and you may receive an update for this from the EA officials/community managers"

Can anyone help, I bough t this game as I play mainly offline due to rubbish internet connection at home.

    Hello,

    It seems that forcing the EA app to update may solve the problem. You should be able to run the "EA Updater" from your Start Menu > EA folder or directly from C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop and run EAUpdater.exe.
