Simcity 5 keeps crashing.
I play the game and after a little bit it crashes, it says "sim city as stopped working" i know it has nothing to do with my graphix card or anything because it used to do it with simcity 4 not that ...

Only hardware problems can do what you describe, usually overheat, but also very often a more dangerous failure, power supply fade.

I have to respectfully disagree. I get BSODs as well. Mostly related to "dxgmms1.sys" which is what leads me to believe the game conflicts with the graphic drivers. I have my system overeclocked to the max, and never had this issue with any game or program. Since having the issue with SimCity, i backed everything back to stock. Trust me nothing in my system is overheating, or low on power, or having any other type of failure.
Like you say, only hardware problems can cause BSOD, but it's the software that's causing the issue with the hardware. Again, it happens no matter what brand of video card people are using. I can't even run the game on my motherboard integrated Radeon HD4250.
Origin and/or EA need to get off their asses and fix this **bleep** issue. It's been going on far too long.
On this matter, I will defer to no one. Software cannot reach the power switch. If the machine powers down, as opposed to Blue Screening, is is ALWAYS nothing but a hardware problem.
You can use Google / Yahoo if you wish to verify it, but after 40 years of dealing with every kind of computer, building many dozens, up to a total of probably over a hundred, over the past 20 years or so, I am heavily experienced.

I have the same crash with 3.0 and 3.1.
With 3.0, the game left to desktop after 5 min but for the patch 3.1, the game crash and the computer freeze. I don't think it's a hardware issue, SimCity worked fine with previous version (beta included). It's same computer, same windows installation and no driver update.
Plz i love this game, i would like play it.

Why would you think that the game crashes and is actually "Shutting Down" the computer? Of course it's a BSOD.
All the same in principle.
