Simcity 5 keeps crashing.

I just played for a good couple hours, no crashing! The update seemed to fix it for me. I have been playing on europe west 1 because US east and west seem to go 'busy' a lot. Game was running fin until about an hour ago when I got disconnected and I havent been able to connect again since.

My suggestion to everyone: walk away. Go work out, spend time with the family or friends, get some work done. Come back to the game in a day and see how it goes. Seriously, they just launched this. You can tell how hard they're working to get everything up and running for us. I understand the frustration, but in a short time all this will be forgotten.

I give up. If the game isn't crashing the server is down. I want my money back ASAP.

Anyone know how I go about doing that?

nice... this forum is a "beta", and we expect the game to work?!

The issue is that "some people" have paid $60 for a non-functioning software.

Even when I went to GameStop to pick up the game, what's the deal with the lengthy download anyway?

What was on the CD?  Was it an executable with a 20 kb executable to point to an Origin server?

There's no excuse for this kind of outage.  Are you kidding me?

How many thousands of users need to be supported on a single server?  Yet, scalability was not done?

What happened in the planning of this "game"?

The game works fine, its the servers that are having issues. Give it a day or two and it should be working fine. People need to relax.

I am sure majority of the issues could have been avoided if they just gave us a local single player mode to begin with...

I have started 6 separate maps and they crash out or get disconnected from the server, and I lose all progress each time. All I am doing is trying to play a single player private game, and it would be totally fine if I wasn't REQUIRED to be connected to their server. I am sure I am not the only one who just wants to play the game alone, and even if I was the only one - atleast right now while EA works out the kinks in their **bleep**, everyone could play by themselves locally instead of blowing the EA Forums, Facebook, Twitter, and service lines up over it.

I'm not the first to complain about it since the game came out, but it feels good to complain about it and let my frustration be heard and related to. 😕mileysad: Apparently you're okay with spending money and having to wait to enjoy a product you already have, but the majority of us consumers prefer to get immediate use of our money spent.

If my Diet Coke thing didn't grab your attention, let me reiterate. It's like going to a resteraunt and getting a nice, juicey, perfectly marinated steak you could cut with a fork placed down in front of you...and just as you're about to dig in, your asked to leave the building and come back when they deem it's okay and THEN you may eat.

I thought it was because I have Windows 8. But i ran it in compatibility mode and nothing changed.  And now we cant even log in! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Me too disappointed thought I'd be enjoying this title but not so far

I cant even place my first utility building without a CTD. cant be my pc;
