I play the game and after a little bit it crashes, it says "sim city as stopped working" i know it has nothing to do with my graphix card or anything because it used to do it with simcity 4 not that long ago. I dont know how to fix it, It will not stop crashing. I dont know if its origin but im starting to dislike origin a lot because of these issues.
Nope the update did not fix the crashing. I dont seem to get crashing on the first region i made, but anything i made after seems to want to crash.
I dont understand why they wanted to do this like WoW. They should make the online a feature and if people want to play with others then they should be allowed to. I would rather play by myself then having the game crash every 10-15 minutes and then my city is just gone. no saves not a thing. Im very sad about this game i've been waiting for such a long time for this game and it comes out like this?
Same Here. Played for several hours on the first game without a problem. Now when I play another game it only works for about 15 min before it crashes and does not save my game. REALLY frustrating! Love how we are all paying 60 bucks to work out all of the bugs and in 3 weeks people will be paying half that without any.
Very frustrating...I have thoroughly enjoyed my 5+ hour of gameplay, and became addicted... Then it failed to connect to server, and deleted all my game progress.... This has happened 3 times. I've built 3 cities, unable to save progress, and then get booted out....
I thought it would be possible to save your local game on your computer. Then when the server connects, to relay that save info to the server without destroying all progress for the game players..... Guess not...
Sigh.......
I love this game but I am frustrated because it is so good that it hurts even more when it kicks me off and no saving. It must be good or else I wouldn't keep beating my head against the wall so to speak by restarting from scratch time and time again. Sounds like a broken record but the always online aspect is complete bull**bleep**. And not being able to preload is ridiculous. How many times does it take and how often must we hear the same excuse about launch day issues?

People get refunds because they don't want the product. You're talking about stealing a game because you don't want to pay for it. Would you go to a grocery store and steal a diet coke because you're mad it has aspartame in it? No it's not obvious! I just think it's ridiculous that I buy a $59.99 can of diet coke, open it, take a few sips, but then it seals itself back up and wont let me drink it until it can connect with the other cans of diet coke.

Unable to get into Simcity.
software reports dialog box stating "servers are unavailable".
Meanwhile, if I quit the game, relaunch the game, I can get to the menu of servers.
I am in California but unable to connect to the North America servers. IT reports "Busy".
Huh? I'm a few miles from the server room most likely!
When I click on Oceanic 1 , I get into the tutorial, but my original region with 3 cities is missing.
This game does not appear to be ready for prime time... too many server glitches hang up the software every hour or so.
Some glitch appears where game play either freezes or sends me a "server unavailable" message.
Gosh, guys, you had a better software package in Sim 2000 or earlier.
This is not improvement when you can not load the game easily.
I am broadband cable internet at greater than T1 speeds.
This issue is all about you guys and your server capacity not being scaled correctly.
