SimCity buildings in holes
Sometimes when I open my cities there are a bunch of buildings in holes. It also appears that there are a bunch of problems happening that weren't happening when I saved and closed the game the last ...
So I can't delete the road without deleting the building. The buildings can only be placed on a road, so they are bulldozed when the road is bulldozed automatically.
I'm not using any mods. I'm a bit old school and like to play offline as much as possible.
There also is no way, that I'm aware of, to create a tunnel or bridge in the game. Bridges will automatically appear when you pull the road across water or hills, but I don't know of a way to create a bridge on flat land. That would be glorious though.
Here are a couple close up pictures of the hole, and highlighted areas that indicate where the house (in this case) was and outline around the road which does appear to sink into the hole.
Maybe there is an issue with my graphics???
Thanks for your help!

Right - I thought you were deleting only the buildings. My suggestion was to delete the roads themselves (which will also delete the buildings)

I must not have explained clearly enough in the first reply - Draw the road, then without releasing the mouse button, Press M to raise roads & make bridges; Press N to lower them & make tunnels. It does take some finesse to get the road to go all the way to the top or bottom because it creates a slope at the start and end point, so you may want to experiment a bit. I just think it's possible that while you were drawing the roads you unknowingly hit the N button and lowered them. It might not be apparent until you get rid of the maglevs and try to draw a road crossing over them.
I don't think it's a graphics problem, that is exactly the type of graphic I get when I run a road lower than the terrain and then build on it. I could be wrong, of course. What shows up there if you look at some of the data maps - like the transportation or population maps? Just curious if there's a clue there. If you still can't find anything, please reply back with the name of the region & city plot that you're building on and show me a screen shot of the entire city from above. I can try to reproduce in my game.
Holy cow! I had no idea you could make tunnels and bridges. And I've been playing this game for a long time!
I really don't think that's the issue, but I'll investigate further. Here's a picture of the ground pollution map. You can see that it's part of the road and part of the building. The second picture has 4 holes. But you can see that they are partially on the road too...
