SimCity keeps freezing (NOT BSOD or windows error)???

I too have been having this problem.  At first it would freeze up a couple of times and then by the 3rd time, it would go and I'd be good.  Just got the 1.7 patch and good lord, I've reset my computer about a half dozen times.  Please please please, someone at EA/Origin do something!  

The screen freezes up on the EA logo and the sound loops.  I had no problem up until 3 days ago.  someone fix this please!
