Simcity Minimizing to Taskbar, Won't Stay Open - Windows 8

Okay so I just bought Simcity, it downloaded, it updated, it starts the launcher and you can pick a server and etc, and it even seems to start.  However, it immediately kicks me back to the desktop. ...

That fix didn't work for me. I don't have probloems with any other games, only SimCity.

Frankly I want my money back. I shouldn't have to futz around like this just to play a game.

    I'm having the same issue. Windows 8. Tried running origin and simcity.exe as administrator.
