Hi @ThompsonUSSSA - Just to be certain, you're trying to do a disc install of SimCity (2013), not an earlier version like SimCity 4, correct?
If this is an older disc that you have owned and played on Origin before, the game will be linked to the Origin account where you originally registered. If you recently purchased the disc, be sure that it is an unopened and unused copy of the game. If the code was already used, it will be linked to another gamer's account and therefore you won't be able to register it. (This goes for all disc installs of any games).
All of that being said, the error you're getting is probably due to the Origin installation, not the game's install. I would guess the copy of Origin on the disc is so old it doesn't recognize Windows 10. To get everything installed, try these steps:
- Install the current version of Origin
- Make sure your code is registered
- Install from the game disc
Be sure to run all installation files "as Administrator". If you run into any problems, do a Clean Boot and then try the installation again.
Please reply back and let us know how it goes. If you have additional problems, be sure to include the info about which game you're trying to install, how you obtained the disk (new or used), and any error messages or details about the problem.
