Simcity on iMac keeps closing most times i try to run it

The icon bounces for a good few seconds to 20 seconds, and then closes near enough when the dot appears below it. its so annoying, why can't this game be friendly? I feel like im sacrificing too much...

I use an iMac. Ive tried 2 so far in 1 region and it won't let me enter !
