SimCity Societies - add to origin library

I got an error of "invalid code" when I tried to add SimCity Societies to my Origin library. Looking for the solution in the FAQ, I found that some "classic" games cannot be added to the library - only can be played from a disk; however, SimCity Societies is not in the list of examples of such games. Is it possible to add the game in the library? If yes, who should I contact about the error?

Playing from the disk is not an option - it doesn't seem to be in operation. I decided to play in it after many years - some kind of nostalgia, you know.

    Sorry for the late reply. Nostalgia... sounds familiar :D

    Even if the game is not listed as one of the examples, our advisors might be able to help you redeem your code, as a digital version of SimCity Societies is available in Origin. Please, contact them through EA Help. You will find a detailed explanation on how to contact them if you need it here.

    Same here! I have the DVD version from years ago and when I tried to enter the serial number it said "invalid". I contacted EA and they weren't very helpful... The guy told me to give him the serial number and asked when I bought it and from where (lol as if I remember that far back) and then he said it's too old and nothing can be done ☹️

    Same here mate, recently got a DVD version but was unable to redeem it via Origin, and the poor customer service is really exhausted by EA's bloodsucking company policy. I understand that some very ancient games with no digital version should be removed from the store, but SCS has it, it should be no difficulty at all to redeem it thus it is possible before 2014.

    The only reason rEAper doesn't want us to redeem it is wanting to sell it for a second time to any players who love its classic games.

    No wonder rEAper is the worst gaming cooperation ever existed in this world.☹️
