Simcity Societies Crashing Unhandled exception

Bought Simcity Societies bundle from EA app couple of months ago. Everything was working fine and could play the game without issue. But then all of a sudden Simcity Societies started to crash upon startup. It now gives the following error

Game Exception

Unhandled exception: Unable to find a valid device

Type: class TMill::Common::Exception

Have no idea why this happened, only way I can spot it is timing a ctrl+alt+delete just right to see the error message. 

Any help or ideas to solve this issue.
