I found a solution that works for me!
I talked to an EA person and they told me to do this.
Step 1: Uninstall SimCity
Step 2: Uninstall Origin
Step 3: Reinstall Origin using http://www.origin.com/download
Step 4: Open Origin and Download SimCity again
NOTE: I recommend installing Revo Uninstaller and uninstalling with that to ensure that it's thorough. (Select Advanced).

Um, yeah. I htink I'll wait for an ea live chat. All 85 minnutes of it...
The fix i posted was when absolutely nothing popped up that includes the launcher didnt pop up either so those stuck on launcher screens that fix is not for you. Nomad that is the fix from EA. Only other options are to check your drivers and make sure your windows is up to date.
How big is your sim city folder ? I am the only one with only 268mb ?

I'm hoping when I tell them it didn't work, they'll have another solution. They might have along checklist of possible solutions.
And yes, simscity is most definately bigger than a few hudren mbs. Did oyu just delete the folder in mydocs?
