this is what worked for me i had the same issue of clicking play and then nothing happened this is what i did
program files (x86)>origin>find origin exe and right click then go to the top and click TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBITLITY>then click TROUBLESHOOT PROGRAM>then hit next a couple times untill it ask to "start the program">click start the program>then click next>then click "yes, save changes to computer"(or something similar to it)
