I just installed a copy of Simcity Complete edition using a product code. I get this message every time I try to start the game. I am typing this on a fully functional internet connection. So, I click SINGLE-PLAYER to try and play. However, it just does the same thing all over again. It loads, then I get this message. It's really ticking me off. I can't even play the game because of this. Is there a fix?
I had that same problem. I found this on help.ea and it fixed the problem for me. Hope it helps.

If you're having trouble downloading games, clear your cache using App Recovery to see if that fixes your issue.
- Launch the EA app on your PC or Mac.
- From the main menu bar, select Help and choose App Recovery.
- Select Clear Cache.
- If you’re using a Mac, you might need to enter your password to give EALaunchHelper permission to clear cache. You’ll need to enter the password you use to log in to your Mac device, not your EA Account password.
