can people just stop being mean to each other?
FACT: we paid for a game.
FACT: that game is not working for many of us.
FACT: EA says they are working to fix it.
FACT: being a troll only helps the troll.
FACT: this is ANSWER HQ, not Jerk HQ, so can people just stop?
i have a life, i shower, i go outside every day, i live in a clean home, i am married, i make a living for my self, i am not a teen, i have a great life outside of the gaming world. but if i pay $80 for someing i would hope that something would work. SimCity is not working. not just for me, for LOTS AND LOTS OF PEOPLE WORLD WIDE! why is that hard for some to understand?!
if you got to a store and pay $50 for a Blueray and get home and find that the movie not not on it, or does not play, would you just put it away and tell yourself its ok because some people got a working copy and it was a great movie to they can keep the money? OR would you take it back and get another copy? and if that copy didn't work, would you want your money back? i think so. so why is it ok to spent $60 - $80 on a game that does not work?
I personaly am willing to wait a few days to see if they can fix it. But if people want their money back they should get it. Why do games get to keep all the data from us, but if a movie tried to do that it's wrong? when did we the players start to think that games were not the same as anything else we put our money and time into? Why is looking for an answer at the site for answers a reason to get told off by some ramdom person?
That brings up an interesting example...My bluray player did a BDLive update and broke the ability to watch a number of blurays. Seeing as how the player was the fault and not the discs I was told "You'll have to wait for a while until we fix the issue with an update"
I guess in every example there's always something that can tie it into this one. I guess I know that they have issues that need sorted out and they eventually will (probably rather quickly because of how wide spread) so I'm not upset.
TO ADD TO THIS - not only did I pay for the game a month ago in a preorder but this is just another few days. How many people arguing they paid for a game they can't play for 8 hours when they already haven't been able to play for a paid game for months?
