Vacant Residences - No one moving in

Question

I decided to bulldoze my entire city and start fresh. Unfortunately, now when I zone residential areas, homes are built (and become Vacant Residence - For Sale) but no one ever moves in. I have been letting the city run for 6 hours and I only have a population of ~600 (but 4k visitors)!

I have power, water, sewage, industry, commercial... there are many unfilled jobs, to the point where I have trouble staffing my civic and utility buildings. The game shows very high demand for all types of residential. I have tried bulldozing the areas and rezoning, restarting the game multiple times, abandoning and reclaiming, etc.

Any thoughts? This feels like a bug that has just made one of the cites in my region unusable... ☹️

If you have any issues with SimCity please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it. @pang278

Is the tax rate at something acceptable?

It is at the standard 9%. I tried lowering all taxes to 0% and it made no difference...

I have the exact same problem. I have narrowed down all the problem to a bug in SImcity . ....Please stop asking if you had this or that as I have checked everything.....the residences just arnt filling up and the whole city is ruined....

EA please for god's sake look into this bug...
