worth playing yet?
I just looked at the update forums and looks like nothing has been patched since 3/22, which is also the last time I played the game. The patches up to that point didn't really fix anything, IMO. I...
I felt like digging up a dead post from years ago. I've had a craving to play Sim City and was kind of hoping that EA had decided to continue developing this after they shut down Maxis. Jokes on me I guess. From reading some recent forum posts I see that none of the original issues from 2013 have been fixed. Yet, here's EA still selling this broken game. This should be free to play. Too bad us consumers are idiots and keep feeding the beast. I think Maxis would've actually done well with this had it not been for EA's involvement but they were forced to a schedule instead of being allowed to get it done right and ended up being the ones forced to close up shop. I made an oath back then and have held onto it, I have not played any other EA games since. Seems like they ruined other games too, like Star Wars Battlefront. Anyways, we'll just have to wait for Cities Skylines 2 to come out folks, nothing to see here. Also go check out Frostpunk. Just my $0.02
I agree. It was obvious way back when that EA pulled the plug on the game and wouldnt so anything to correct the bugs or develop the game further. It was a shame as it had so much potential. The biggest drawback being the small postage stamp size plots. But the game play could be good and it looked great. But EA decided t spend their money elsewhere (The Sims?) as it would have taken a lost of resources to iron out SC problems. But it could have been so good if they had continued investment. We are in a capitalist society and money speaks so... Looking forward to Cities Skylines 2 after 3000 hours in version 1. Have fun everyone.
