Has anyone else's computer been getting unreasonably hot while it's running this game? I'm talking upwards of 95 degrees Celsius on my CPU and nearly 80 degrees on my GPU (14700k and 4070 FE). The GPU is fine, but it doesn't seem like this game should be pushing my hardware so hard given it's early state with missing textures and whatnot.
Any advice would be appreciated to keep this from happening.

im having the same problem (AMD Ryzen 5 5500) to where it even shut down my whole pc 30 minutes into playing it. idk whats going on, wish there is a way to fix
Yeah the game seems to be quite cpu intensive over gpu, so definitely needs some optimisation. I’m assuming they didn’t add in optimisation or graphics settings to keep it lightweight for the alpha build. Hopefully this build is fairly old and more of a stress test on the online play and physics systems and this has been resolved for actual release
Try limiting the framerate of the game using you Nvidia panel. I read somewhere else that the playtest push the framerate hard, so it is necessary to lock it. I have not tried it myself but it should balance it if that is the cause.
Since the game is in Pre-Alpha I am sure it is not optimized yet. I would do as Isodinne reccomended and see what you can mess with in NVIDIA control panel
ya, my thangs cookin. Once it's closer to release I'm sure it will be optimized better to run cooler. It just doesn't make sense to do that work now while things are constantly changing. They'll go back and clean up some code and optimize assets later.
That's a good idea, limiting my FPS is usually the first thing I look at when I'm trying to keep temps under control but without the settings to do so built into the game I wasn't sure how to. Thanks!
